On my bike commute home tonight, I caught this little bugger walking along the roadside of busy State Route 13. Immediately, I hopped off my bike and shooed it off the road to the other side of a tree in the adjacent yard. I’m thinking that it had attempted it’s first full fledged flight and didn’t quite get the hang of it, seeing as though it’s got contour feathers and it sort of flew along the ground when I shooed it away from the road. I’m hoping the poor guy/gal makes it home in time for dinner and survives.
